Wednesday November 19th at 7pm
Blood Affection
By Vincent Sessa
Directed by Cailin Heffernan
It is a day like no other in the history of the marriage.  Their son dead, and so many other students at the High School shot and killed.  Shuttered in their bedroom the following morning, Karen and Carl dress.  Articles of clothing are considered or rejected, as every article of faith in the marriage itself is mercilessly examined.

Thursday November 20th at 7pm
World Builders
By Johnna Adams
Directed by John Hurley
Whitney and Max would rather not have a relationship. With each other or anyone. The complex fantasy worlds they live in make it unappealing. Unfortunately, they’re in a clinical drug trial to test an experimental drug to cure their schizoid personality disorders. A cure that will kill both their worlds. In the course of the six week drug trial, falling in love becomes . . . less unappealing. But when they have a chance to stop taking the pills– should they let two entire worlds die for the sake of their love? Because that would suck.

Saturday November 22nd at 3pm
No One’s Watching
By Michael Aguirre
Directed by Cat Parker
4 singular tales, one shared bond.  No One’s Watching explores the lonely existence of different generations and classes caught in a repetitive, unfulfilled life.  On an ambitious quest for sex, money, and what they hope is happiness, the stories weave together an exploration of where we fit in the Universe.

Sunday November 23rd at 3pm
In Loco Parentis
By Adam Kraar
Directed by Sarna Lapine
At a co-ed boarding school during the Vietnam War, teachers and students stumble through a minefield of politics, desire, and spiritual yearning.  Caught in the middle of this explosive landscape are Charlie, a young religion teacher who’s a stranger in America, and Edie, a wildly rebellious student Charlie’s determined to rescue from herself.

Sunday November 23rd at 7pm
Warm Roses
By Tim Errickson
Directed by Scott Ebersold
Meg runs a Jersey Shore bed and breakfast left to her by her late husband, with the help of her son Marcus and best friend Joanie. As another summer winds down in the long line of endless summers, Meg’s brother in law and his young graduate assistant come to stay, upsetting the daily balance. Is it better to be alone with a bottle, or in the company of family?

Monday November 24th at 7pm
Mommy Baby
By Shelley McPherson
Kim leaves home, abandoning her family and crashing with her single sister Kate. When Kim picks up where she left off with her fun-loving high school boyfriend, Wayne, both sisters find surprises on the grass-is-greener, bumpy road not taken.  Mommy Baby is a play about having kids, not having kids, and being a kid.

All readings in the Festival are held at New Georges and ART/NY, 520 Eighth Avenue, 3rd floor. Admission is free, with a $5 suggested donation.
