2011-2012 Season, Shakespeare

Much Ado about Nothing begins this weekend!

Post have been few and far between for a little while folks, as we’ve been “nose to the grindstone” working on MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. I’m going to try to give you a sneak peek every day of tech this week, so you can see how we’re progressing. Working outside is so very different than working in a traditional space, both exciting and challenging.

I’ll have pics to post later this week from dress rehearsals, which are going to look great. Carolyn Pallister, our resident costume designer for the outdoor shows, has done another excellent job of getting the cast ready to go. Can’t wait for you to see them.

Brad Lewandowski as Claudio, Laura Ramadei as Hero and John Egan as Don John in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

Director Daniel Talbott has assembled a terrific cast, led by Sara Thigpen as Beatrice, Nate Miller as Benedick, Brad Lewandowski as Claudio and Laura Ramadei as Hero. Expect full on dance numbers, live musicians, true love, nefarious plots, and all kinds of theatrical excitement.

So come on out this coming weekend. Yes, it is Father’s Day on Sunday. Know what’s the perfect Father’s Day present? Not another tie, but a free performance of…you guessed it. Bring all the Dads in your life. Did I mention free?

Performances this weekend are Saturday and Sunday (June 18th and 19th) at 2pm in Central Park. Enter at 69th Street and Central Park West, then follow the signs and the chalk directions.
The show runs 2 hours.

Check back in a day or so for pics and more updates.
