LOVELESS TEXAS

Welcome to Loveless Texas!

We are so excited to share the details of our next production with you. LOVELESS TEXAS, with music and lyrics by Henry Aronson and libretto and direction by Cailín Heffernan, will begin performances September 6th at The Sheen Center for a three week run. Casting is underway, and tickets are now on sale.

As many people know, this show has been in development for nearly a decade, beginning as an idea then a few songs and then a few more until finally we arrive here. We’ve begun pre-production on this initial production, which marks Boomerang Theatre Company’s first ever musical project.

Production Meeting
The Production Team held captive until I can get a photo!

We are assembling a terrific team for LOVELESS TEXAS. In addition to Cailin directing, we have Marci Skolnick (Production Stage Manager), Timothy Babcock (Assistant Stage Manager) and Rebecca Meyers (Stage Management Intern). On the design side, we have Cheryl McCarron (Costumes), Michael O’Connor (Lighting), Evan Hill (Sets), Ian Wehrle (Sound), Dan Renkin (Movement/Fights) and Theresa McElwee (Vocal Coach). Rounding out the team are interns Charlotte Hopkins (Producing), Lauren Frazier (Marketing), Ivy Swinski (Costumes) and Maggie Cunningham (Lights/Sound/Projections). And as always, the incomprable Stefano Imbert has done the artwork.

The whole event is produced by Boomerang, with Danielle Demisay, Kate Holland and Yoni Vendriger serving as Associate Producers.

Fun Photo Collages for the Season

Hi everyone…Here at Boomerang we put together photo collages for Annual Reporting requirements (basically we send these off to people who are looking for photographic evidence we actually did things). I thought we’d share them with you, as sort of a visual summary of what we’ve been doing these last 12 months. We’re still working on the version of Love’s Labour’s Lost…

Help support the Independent Spirit!

Keep independent theater thriving brand new
This coming weekend we will honor the independent spirit that gave birth to a nation.

Boomerang Theatre Company is asking you to celebrate that same spirit by supporting independent theatre. As a cultural organization, we engage audiences with ideas of who we are today, and what we hope and dream for tomorrow.

Like all not-for-profit theatres, Boomerang cannot survive on ticket sales alone. We depend on the generosity of our community to support and empower our work.

With your help and inspiration, we will continue to support artists who reflect our changing nation and our vibrant moment in history.

Please click here to make a tax deductible donation.

Donate to our campaign, and we’ll take a pie in the face!

You read that right. Our team is committed to raising money for our Fall/Winter season. So with each milestone hit, we’re getting hit as well.

With a pie in the face.

Would you like to see these people get hit with pies?

When we hit the $2500 mark, Artistic Director Tim Errickson is going get hit with a cream pie, right in the mug.

Wanna see Managing Director Sue Abbott get hit with a pie? You will, when we hit $5000 in donations.

Cailin Heffernan, John Hurley and Danielle Demisay? Really, you want them to get hit too? Alright, at the $7500 goal, it’ll happen.

And for the pies de resistance (see what we did there?), we’re ALL going to get a pie in the face when we hit the $10,000 goal.

These lovable faces should be splattered in desserts, and only you can make it happen!

Donations begin at as little as $10. Click here to order dessert for these fine people.

We’ve got some pretty interesting perks too, including a walk on role in a Broadway Show. Click here to take a look! You’ve only got until August 31st to make this happen!
